AI Family Care Call is a remote care service where an AI companion regularly calls elderly parents living apart, checks in on their daily routines, health, and medication, and alerts family members in case of an emergency.
WeSeeks brings the understanding of elderly users — built through operating AI Family Care Call — directly into volunteer work on the ground. Jeong Ji-ho, Head of Business Division, stated: "For a technology-based care company, time spent meeting seniors face-to-face is absolutely essential," adding that "WeSeeks plans to reflect the understanding of seniors gained through operating AI Family Care Call into our volunteer activities for more thoughtful social contribution."
WeSeeks carried out a senior meal support volunteer session on April 30, 2026 at Yeongdeungpo Senior Welfare Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. This was the second participation following the first session on February 3, and is part of an official social contribution program operating on a quarterly basis.
Five WeSeeks employees were stationed in the welfare center's dining hall, supporting overall operations including meal serving, dishware collection, and dining guidance. Wearing sanitary caps and uniforms throughout the meal period, they monitored the movement of senior visitors and assisted with on-site operations. The activity was designed not merely as participation, but as an opportunity to develop a hands-on understanding of seniors' daily living environments.
At the volunteer site, WeSeeks Head of Business Division Jeong Ji-ho personally presented carnations to Baek Jong-hun, Team Leader at Yeongdeungpo Senior Welfare Center, as a gesture of appreciation for welfare center staff who care for seniors daily. According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 2024 Report on Long-Term Care for the Aging Society (surveying 5,200 elderly individuals aged 65 and older living alone nationwide), "the average number of social interactions per week among single-elderly households is only 1.3 times." WeSeeks' in-person volunteer work is a direct corporate response to this documented reality of social isolation.
WeSeeks operates its regular volunteering with Yeongdeungpo Senior Welfare Center on a quarterly schedule, with plans to gradually broaden the scope of cooperation with local communities. WeSeeks treats the time its employees spend meeting seniors in person as the starting point of social contribution, fulfilling its responsibilities as an AI care company by connecting technology with direct human engagement.
