To kick off 2026, the Weseeks team visited the Yeongdeungpo Senior Welfare Center to listen to the voices of those our technology serves. While volunteering for meal distribution and guidance services, our team members communicated directly with the seniors. It was a precious opportunity to understand their longing for family and their high expectations for non-face-to-face care services like AI Family Care Call.
Many seniors we met at the center saw their own children or grandchildren in our team members, consistently remarking, "A service that keeps me connected with my kids would be wonderful." As we learned firsthand in Yeongdeungpo, the essence of AI Family Care Call is not just an AI response, but its role as a bridge that connects the hearts of family members.
During a 2025 care policy seminar, an official from the Ministry of Health and Welfare stated, "The success of remote care services depends not on the flashiness of the technology, but on the emotional bond the user feels." Empathizing with this philosophy, AI Family Care Call is committed to creating services that foster emotional connection. We are enhancing our natural language processing technology to ensure a delicate tone and contextual understanding, so seniors feel comfortable and heard.
Yes. Since parents only need to answer the phone as they usually do, there is no need for any complicated device installation. AI Family Care Call operates through the familiar act of talking on the phone.
If a parent misses three consecutive calls, an immediate alert is sent to the guardian’s app. Guardians can also check summarized call reports through the AI Family Care Call app.
Calls are made periodically according to the schedule set by the guardian. As of 2026, many of our users utilize AI Family Care Call 2–3 times a week for regular check-ins.
The calls mainly focus on daily life and well-being. Additionally, if you set up specific medication or meal reminders, the AI will check if they have taken their medicine or eaten their meals.
Weseeks has implemented a speech rate and tone familiar to seniors to minimize any discomfort. Many users have responded very positively to how natural the conversations feel.
